The Israeli government has circulated a list
naming Australians as antisemites, including journalists, academics, students
and community organisers. There has been no court process, no published
evidence and no right of reply. They just put targets on the back of
Australians, and the Government is yet to bother responding. Critics warn the
list blurs the line between genuine antisemitism and political dissent, placing
targets on people for speaking out on Israel and Palestine. Antisemitism in
Australia is real and must be confronted, but collapsing criticism of a foreign
state into hate speech undermines efforts to tackle genuine antisemitism and
puts individuals at risk without due process.
I support Michael West Media on Pateron, if you
can do that too, great. If you can't do that, please share.
