on Tehran and medical facilities, water desalination plants and medical
facilities burn, Donald Trump is seriously considering sending American troops
to invade Iran,having catastrophically failed in a war he thought would be over
in days. We're going to talk about this latest stage in a war which will prove
to be a disaster of historic proportions for the United States. We'll discuss
the grotesque lies Trump has been disseminating as well as the crimes being
committed by the aggressors. How Trump has admitted what he really wants in
Iran. How leaked US intelligence reports have destroyed whatever strategy the
Trump administration had. How the Israeli intelligence services helped coach a
Republican senator to convince Trump to go to war with Iran, among other
things.
Let's just start with the threat of US troops going to Iran. Now, first of all, NBC have a story headlined, "Trump has privately shown serious interest in US ground troops in Iran." It says, this report he's discussed deploying ground troops with his aids and Republican officials, which is part of a strategy of establishing a new Iranian regime, which will cooperate on oil production, similar to how the US and Venezuela are. Just so we're clear, this is absurd Orwellian euphemistic language. The colonial setup which the US has established with Venezuela is where a gun is placed to the head of the government, to the regime as a whole,whatever you want to call it, with a deal that if the government does as it is told, then the US will not shoot.
It is a fantasy to believe such a colonial arrangement can be established with Iran with every analyst who knows what they're talking about pointing out that no such so-called deal could possibly emerge from within the ruling system in Iran. Now, there's a big caveat which I'm going to interrogate because the word that immediately springs to mind is quagmire. Let me just read this paragraph. The president's comments expressing serious interest in deploying ground troops have not focused on a large-scale ground invasion of Iran, but rather on the idea of a small contingent of US troops that would be used for specific strategic purposes. US officials, the former US official and the person with knowledge of the discussions said they said Trump has not made any decisions or given any orders related to ground troops. Firstly, the very notion of US troops being involved in Iran was clearly not something Trump was seriously considering at the beginning of the war. He clearly thought assassinating the supreme leader would mean it would be all over in days. But secondly, that word quagmire where a country is gradually sucked into a military bog. Let's recall US military involvement in the Vietnam War. And at least in that case, half the country was the pro-western anti-communist state of South Vietnam where military operations could be conducted….’
